Rememberance Sunday

Today I was privileged to lay a wreath on behalf of Lambeth Council at the Kennington Park memorial.

It was great to see so many residents come out from Lambeth and Southwark to remember those who gave their lives protecting us.

It was also moving to remember those who have lost their lives in more recent years including those in Iraq and Afghanistan - especially for me as I'm from a military family, my father and brother both serving in the RAF.

I have long supported the British Legion and want to thank them for doing a fabulous job supporting service families.

Community Action Day at the Wheafsheaf Hall

Today members of the community and Lambeth College came together to spruce of the Wheatsheaf Community hall.

London assembly member Val Shawcross joined us to paint, sand and scrub the hall.

There's still bits to do and we'll be back in the next few weeks.

Thank you so much to the college for leading on this.
